Service
Sweet Apple can provide a wide range of service facilities suited to your needs. Everything from one off visits, to a scheduled maintenance plan of your Macs, or component level repair of faulty equipment.
Contracts
Customers who prefer to be able
to budget in advance can choose a service plan to suit their needs. Price
will be dependant on the number of machines to be included in the contract,
the response time, if provision of loan equipment is needed, and if telephone
response outside normal working hours is required. Please contact me
to discuss your requirements further.
Hardware service
When you have a hardware failure it can be anything from
a minor irritation to a total disaster. Sweet Apple will perform out-of-warranty
repairs to iBooks and Powerbooks significantly cheaper than an Authorised
Service provider, using genuine Apple parts. If we can't find new parts,
or they are prohibitively expensive we will find spares at sensible prices.
And if repair is uneconomic we will tell you so, backup your data and
help you transfer it to a new machine if needed.
For Apple PowerMacs, iMacs and eMacs we can repair or replace everything from logic boards, CPUs, power supplies (PSU), RAM hard drive, CD/DVDs, through to a mouse or keyboard.
Mac Data recovery
When a hard drives gets corrupt or fails, you could lose thousands of pounds worth of data. SweetApple can resolve everything from relatively simple disk corruption, accidentally erased data, to block by block scanning for essential files or documents. We've recovered many a lost, deleted or mangled Entourage, Apple Mail or iPhoto database thought the years.
Drive recovery
Modern high-capacity disks are quite reliable, but sometimes they fail completely. We have successfuly performed recoveries from complete drive failures. If the drive has suffered a serious mechanical failure and is difficult to recover without using potentially more destructive techniques, we will inform you and provide a range of options.
Data archiving
Nervous you haven't got suitable a data backup? We can either design an automated backup system, or archive your current data to CD, DVD, tape or hard disk. We also will transfer from Syquest, ZIP, floppy or hard drive to a media of your choice. Prices are very reasonable; for instance £25 for a 4.4Gb backup to DVD, with 2 duplicate disks provided to the customer.
