We’ve just wrapped up our latest Magento e-commerce website for Brandyclassics, a retailer of vintage and rare cognac, armagnac and calvados. Whilst they are located in Bradford on Avon, near Bath, they ship their premium brandies to countries across the world, so we had to pay particular attention to setting up complex shipping rules and plan for taking sales in a number of currencies, all areas that Magento excels at.
Search Engine Optimisation was a key priority for the site, so we tightly integrated WordPress into the site to provide an easy to use and maintain news section. The combination of Magento and WordPress let the client quickly generate large amounts of relevant content that is easily indexed by the search engines. As a result, traffic has risen by over 400% in the week since launch, indexed pages increased massively and we see visitors hitting landing pages for some very specific search terms deep within the site.
